I pledge an all out effort to stop this uncontrollable sanction of Residential and Commercial development in Blue Lake Township.
Quietly over the past 4 years the current Blue Lake Township Administration has been developing NEW ZONING REGULATIONS. New Regulations which are intended to open the door to INTENSIVE COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT. Changes intended to fundamentally change the character of our community.
“PLANNED UNIT RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT” and “PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT” ZONING has been quietly created by a hand-picked committee (picked by the current Township Supervisor). PURD and PUD Zoning has been created over the past 4 years with no public request for such zoning revisions.
Such zoning IS NOT REQUIRED! This type of Zoning is developed with the intention of having aggressive residential and commercial exploitation of a community!
The Blue Lake Township community does not want nor does it need aggressive residential and commercial development. This was successfully demonstrated a few years ago by the public opposition that reversed the sale of the massive Owasippe Scout Reservation property. PURD and PUD zoning are sanctions to approve the type of development in Blue Lake Township that has already soundly defeated by the public !
